If your child/children are swimming in Championships tomorrow, please read the following information sent by Wedgewood.

Wedgewood is excited to host Champs tomorrow and look forward to having all of the teams together for the first time this summer!

Our address is: 2 Wedgefield Drive, New Castle. There is ongoing construction on 273. AND Appleby Rd. from 273 to Windburne is shut down. Entrances to the neighborhood are located off of 273 at Wedgefield Drive, and off of Appleby Rd. at Griffith and at Estates Dr./Wilton Blvd.

Swimmer Drop Off

Parents will pull into the lot to drop off swimmers and tents/chairs

There will be parking attendants directing traffic

Parking

All spectators and coaches will park in the neighborhood. Please do not park in front of the mailbox across the street from the pool nor in front of anyone’s driveway.

Officials will be able to park on the property

Team / Spectator Seating

All teams will have a designated spot to set-up “camp” in the field behind our pool. PLEASE tell your families to bring tents and chairs to set-up in the field. We do not have additional tents so it will be important that each team has a few tents for their families.

We are asking that all spectators enter the deck from our front entrance of the building and exit the deck using the side gate just past our restrooms to the left. Swimmers will enter and exit the pool through the gate closest to the field so they have quick access to the deck. Families will not be able to set-up chairs on the deck. Once their child is done swimming we ask that they head back to the field. It’s absolutely fine to hangout for a few races to cheer on other kiddos from the team but please do not plan to hangout on deck the entire meet. We would like everyone to have the opportunity to see their child swim. If you have a parent, grandparent or spectator in general that needs to stay on deck the entire meet, please let me know so we can make accommodations. The walk from the field to the front entrance is not terrible but we understand how it may be difficult for some people.

Snack Shack

We will be running a modified Snack Shack with cinnamon rolls, pretzels from Philly Pretzel Factory, hotdogs, hamburgers and cheese burgers. We will also have beverages, snacks and candy.
