We need your help this season!

Dear Parents-

We're busy getting everything in order for the start of swim season! Part of getting ready for meets means making sure we have enough volunteers to operate them. In order for the meets to even take place we NEED:

Scorers - keep track of the points and total score

Referee/Starter - starts each event

Stroke and Turn Judges - watch the swimmers to ensure strokes are performed correctly

These positions require training ahead of time which is run by Suburban Swim League (SSL).  All training sessions are via Zoom and start next week! The calendar of times and trainings can be found here: https://suburbanswim.club/events_calendar/month/ Additional information is also listed below.

Please consider attending a training so you can be available to help if and when needed!

If you are interested and able to attend, please email us - [email protected]

Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!

Thank you!

Ellen and Rachel

  • To officiate at an SSL dual meet, time trials, and championships, the
official is required to have attended an SSL officials class in the
current season. Attendance at a previous year class or a lot of experience
outside of SSL does NOT qualify the official to work an SSL meet.

  • With the change to SSL rules for 2024, for an official to work as the Referee
or Starter at an SSL meet, they must have attended a SSL Referee class in
2024. Officials who have attended a SSL Referee class can work as a
S&T Judge or as a Chief Judge. Officials can always work down, but not
    up in a higher-level position.

  • All classes begin at 7:00 PM with the exception of the Referee classes. There
are two parts of the Referee classes. From 6:30 to 7:00 PM, the class will
be for officials who will be Refereeing for the first time. Starting at
7:00 PM, the class will be for both officials who have refereed previously
and those who attended from 6:30 to 7:00 PM.

(Stroke & Turn and Scorers only need to attend one of the below listed dates.)
